I grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, attended Messick High School and the University of Memphis, where I received my Bachelor of Business Administration. I received my Maters in Business Administration from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, New Jersey.
I purchased my first camera in 1977, a Cannon AE-1. As a product manager for a medical device company, I was privileged to attend numerous photo shoots in New York City where I really got interested in photography.
In 1988, I came very close to quitting my job to attend photography school in Santa Barbara, California, but lost my nerve. Now that I am retired, I am a full time student in Photographic Technology at Randolph Community College. Just goes to show you, you’re never too old.
